History
Ryan began in the home automation industry in 2000. While studying at the University of Maryland, Baltimore Country, he worked for a large home automation company as an installation technician. Starting out as a simple wire runner, he advanced through the company picking up the tricks of the trade working up to lead technician, responsible for running multiple projects. Seeing a need to apply his schooling to his profession, Ryan began programming Crestron systems for the company learning everything he could about the process. In 2005, Ryan moved to California taking a job with a programming house advancing his knowledge of Crestron and applying his designs to home all over the west coast.
These installation and programming skills set us apart from other companies. Starting with an install background gives us the unique ability to not only understand wiring and installation practices, but allows us to assist you in your install from start to finish. We will work side by side with you to design your system, program and install it, and present it to your client.
Design Process Designing and installing a system can be a little overwhelming. We have a simple 6 stage process to help ease your worries and make sure the job is completed in an timely and seamless manner. Sticking by this system has allowed us to see the smiles of the homeowner that make our job easy and enjoyable.
1.
We start with the needs of the client. Working either directly with the client or through your company we can develop a full equipment list of product needed to suit their needs. Our experience with multiple third party equipment allows us to know what works and what doesn't.
2.Next we will provide you with touchpanel designs tailored to the client or you can choose from one of our industry leading pre-designed panels saving you and your client money.
3.From there we will design flowcharts that allow you to see exactly how the touchpanel will look and control the system. This allows you some customization in the design process giving you the ability to make changes dependent on your clients needs.
4.The next step is the development of the touchpanels and code necessary to control the system. Our experience with programming allows us to do this in a quick and efficient timeframe. No need to wait months for programming, we can have it done for you in a short amount of time. During the programming phase, we will be updating you with our status and communicating any design problems or incoporate any changes you may have.
5.Once programming and design is complete, then comes the installation. This is where many programming companies get into trouble. They spend too much time figuring out their programming errors on site. Experience plays a major factor in this process. We work with you or your installers to get the job done quickly and correctly.
6.Finally, once installation is complete we will stay to demonstrate the system to the client. We will guide them though the control and show them exactly how to use their system. This step is often skipped by other companies, but we see it as imperative to make sure the job is complete. Our programmers are all very friendly and will work directly with the client to make sure they know exactly how to use their new system.
XS stands by their clients. We pledge to offer your the most copetitive pricing the industry can offer. If another company offers you a quote less than ours, we will do our best to match it. Sometimes we may not be able to do this, but we strive to give you the best rate possible for your job.
When it comes to support, we know it can be a hassle. Problems come up before, during, and after an installation that can make it seem impossible to finish a job. We offer you our extrordinary support to wrap up those tricky jobs. At no cost to you after the job we will make any changes or modifications that we deem necessary to the original job. If there are small changes that need to be made we will do our best to accomodate those as well. Changes or additions made to jobs after the initial installation will also be handled differently than the original install. We have a different rate for support than our installations. We offer either on site support where we will come and walk through the job or phone support where we will work with you over the phone.
